Before you participate in any classes, please read the following:

Has your doctor ever said you have heart trouble?

Do you frequently have pains in your heart and chest?

Do you often feel faint or have spells of severe dizziness?

Has your doctor ever said your blood pressure was too high?

Has your doctor ever told you that you have a bone or joint problem such as arthritis that has been aggrevated by exercise, or might be made worse with exercise?

Do you have a back injury?

Is there a good physical reason not mentioned here why you should not follow an activity programme even if you wanted to?

Are you aged 69 or over and not used to vigorous exercise?

Are you pregnant or have you recently given birth?

Are you aged under 16?

If you answered "NO" to the above questions accurately, you have reasonable assurance of your present suitability to take part in the class.

If you answered "YES" to any of the above questions you must seek medical advice BEFORE attending a class and provide a doctors note.

Please note that the classes listed here are NOT suitable for those who are pregnant. If you disclose any other details that could affect your performance during exercise (such as asthma, diabetes or previous injuries), you will be asked to seek medical advice before attending.

Each group class is aimed at the general public and it is assumed you are of basic health when taking part.  If you have muscle weakness in any part of the body or stiffness in certain joints that are not due to injury, you are actively encouraged to use that part of the body rather than avoiding that part.  This can strengthen and improve the range of movement you have.  You wil not however be forced to continue with anything you feel unhappy about.  If you do have any concerns about the nature of this class, you should seek professional medical advice.

The Instructor is not a medical professional and therefore cannot be used as an alternative for physiotherapy.  Any issues with injuries should be discussed with your doctor.  The Instructor takes no responsibility for undisclosed injuries aggrevated during exercise or those exercising against the advice of the Instructor, medical professional or those who have not  sought medical advice.

By taking part in the class you acknowledge that you are exercising at your own risk and AT YOUR OWN PACE and are free to rest or break for water at any point you feel necessary.  You should not take part in any exercise which aggrevates any medical condition.

Have Fun!

A letter to your GP can be provided if necessary to confirm the class is appropriate for you.  Please contact Gemma on gemma@zumbakent.co.uk for a copy.

If you have any questions concerning the above, please contact the Instructor before participating.
